Nature’s Detritus

Look down on the ground anywhere there are trees and you will find leaves in various stages of decay. Fresh right off the tree, crispy and curling, and then more rarely a filigreed web with just the suggestion of leaf shape still visible. These lost remnants of natures past green glory fall forgotten to the ground to be picked up by rake or child and occasionally by a wandering artist who just can’t help herself from embarking on a journey to make her eyes cross in concentration.
