View from Water Street

A few years ago I was invited to stay with some family friends in Yarmouth Nova Scotia to paint for a week. Needless to say I have fallen in love with Nova Scotia and Water Street is one of my favourite places in Yarmouth.  Nova Scotia to me is full of passionate clouds and salty windy air. The smell of pine and the taste of rose hips, will always remind of this fabulous adventure.  On this particular day the day could not decide what it wanted to be and the shifting clouds made for a very fun painting ride.  I loved how the light played off the water here and tried to capture how energetic it all felt.
